Environmental Stewardship
A key principle shaping our ethos is the belief that we should leave the world in a better place than we found it. Our vision for environmental responsibility rests on four pillars: Energy Efficiency, Carbon Footprint Reduction, Water Conservation, and Waste Reduction.
Energy Efficiency
At New Look Apparel we are heavily invested in state-of-the art machinery with the understanding that in addition to providing superior results, we minimize our burden on the electrical grid. We have also installed a solar panel system on the roof of our building. We aim to expand this system to cover our entire electrical load in the near future.
Carbon Footprint Reduction
In addition to harnessing the power of the sun, we have replaced fossil fuels as our key energy source with more environmentally friendly biofuels. We continuously monitor and refine our processes to minimize our fuel usage and carbon emissions.
Water Conservation
Every drop makes a difference. Water is a key input in our dyeing and finishing process. As part of our sustainability efforts, we’ve invested in the latest low-liquor Sclavos dyeing machines, which allow us to minimize our water consumption and effluent load. Continuing this journey, our facility includes an on-site Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) which purifies and recycles our wastewater for internal re-use.
Waste Reduction
In addition to reducing our own internal waste, we partner with reputable parties who build on our effort in their practices and supply chains. We also encourage clients to opt for organic and recycled fibers in the products that we create.
